PORTLAND, Ore. — Apr. 4, 2017 — No Filter Improv, a new improv comedy troupe today announced their inaugural Portland show at the Cerimon House in the Alberta Arts district. The ensemble takes the stage on April 21 at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening and drinks available at 7:00 p.m.
No Filter came together after members of several Portland area theatre companies combined with the goal of creating a new performance outlet and further opportunities for collaboration. The show at Cerimon House is the result of close to a year of rehearsals and smaller performances in the Portland metro area.
"We're beyond excited to be at Cerimon House," said Andrew Beck, member, No Filter. "I've performed and taught improv for years, and this is one of the funniest and sharpest squads I've had the pleasure of being a part of. I'm confident the audience will agree."
The core seven-member company is comprised of Andrew Beck, Jacquelle Davis, Kaia Maarja Hillier, Cassie Greer, Lexie Quandt, Peter Schuyler, and Gary Strong. The company also plans to bring in guest artists for future shows, as well as hold workshops throughout the year.
Tickets for the Cerimon House show are available for $10, online* at nofilterimprov.com and at the door the day of the show. You can follow the company on Twitter @nofilterpdx or on Facebook @nofilterimprov.
